Joan Victoria Harris

Joan Victoria Harris, 73, passed away on December 24, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her son Forrest Scott Greenberg and his wife Melissa, her brothers Tom and John Marynowski, daughter-in-law Maria Reynolds and her two granddaughters Christian and Isabella Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Greenberg and her son Rollin Reynolds.

Joan was born on June 3, 1939 in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois to John Marynowski and Victoria Hucker. After graduating high school she went to modeling school which led to her career as a stewardess with Continental Airlines. It was there that she met her husband Alfred. After his untimely death due to cancer she worked to support her two children, first at Aramco as an Assistant Buyer and later as a Claims processor with Travelers. After retiring she spent her time enjoying fine dining, celebrating special occasions with her family, watching movies and American Idol, cheering on the Astros and the Texans, playing games on her computer and caring for her cat Mitz.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Earthman Funeral Directors in the Hunters Creek Chapel, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A reception will follow immediately after the service in the hospitality room. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
