Joaquin de Jesus Gomez

With love and deep sorrow, we celebrate the life of Joaquín De Jesus, who passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born in Ozatlán, El Salvador, Joaquín was a man of strength, humility, and deep love for his family. At the age of 16, he left his hometown in search of work in Santa Cruz Porrillo, where he was employed as a telegrapher and mailman. During this time, he married and had four children.

Seeking greater opportunities, he later migrated to the United States, where he married his wife, Marina Cardenas. Through years of steady work and sacrifice, he focused on reuniting with his children and providing stability and opportunity for their lives. In his final days, Marina remained by his side, caring for him with love until the end.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marina; his children, Joaquin, Inez, and Fernando; his stepchildren, Alven, Carlos, and Miguel; and his niece and nephews, Memito, Miguel, and Melissa. He was a devoted grandfather to Cloe, Mary, Luis, Damaris, Aida, Salvador, Maria Fernanda, Katy, Fernando, Ezequiel, Josseline, Jasmin, Gabriela, Jessica, Josue, Daniel, Alexandra, Karen, Michael, Ashley, and Gisselle, and a doting great-grandfather to Steven, Betsabet, Aiden, Fabio, Montse, and Leandro. He was also an uncle to countless nieces and nephews who will always remember his favorite saying “en la de monkey”!

Joaquin is also survived by his brothers, Chago, Oscar, and Noé, and his sister, Inez. He is remembered by extended family and numerous friends who were touched by his strong character and enduring presence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Inez; his daughter, Azucena, his colocha; his brothers, Meme and Lico; and grandson Carlitos

He is remembered in the memories held by family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Con amor y profunda tristeza, celebramos la vida de Joaquín De Jesús, quien falleció tranquilamente el 27 de Enero de 2026, a la edad de 81 años.

Nacido en Ozatlán, El Salvador, Joaquín fue un hombre de fortaleza, humildad y profundo amor por su familia. A los 16 años, dejó su pueblo natal en busca de trabajo en Santa Cruz Porrillo, donde trabajó como telegrafista y cartero. Durante este tiempo, se casó y tuvo cuatro hijos.

En busca de mejores oportunidades, emigró posteriormente a Estados Unidos, donde se casó con su esposa, Marina Cardenas. A través de años de trabajo constante y sacrificio, se dedicó a reunirse con sus hijos y a brindarles estabilidad y oportunidades. En sus últimos días, Marina permaneció a su lado, cuidándolo con amor hasta el final.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Marina; sus hijos, Joaquín, Inez y Fernando; sus hijastros, Alven, Carlos y Miguel; y sus sobrinos, Memito, Miguel y Melissa. Fue un abuelo cariñoso para Cloe, Mary, Luis Alfredo, Azucena, Aida, Salvador, María Fernanda, Katy, Fernando, Ezequiel, Josseline, Jasmin, Gabriela, Jessica, Josué, Daniel, Alexa, Karen, Michael, Ashley y Gisselle, y un bisabuelo cariñoso para Steven, Betsabet, Aiden, Fabio, Montse y Leandro. También fue tío de muchos sobrinos, quienes siempre lo recordarán con cariño y su dicho favorito “en la de monkey”!

A Joaquín también le sobreviven sus hermanos, Chago, Oscar y Noé, y su hermana, Inez. Lo recuerdan con cariño sus familiares y numerosos amigos que fueron conmovidos por su fuerte carácter y su presencia cariñosa.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Manuel e Inez; su hija, Azucena, su querida colocha; sus hermanos, Meme y Lico; y su nieto Carlitos.

Será recordado con cariño por su familia y amigos, quienes lo van a extrañar para siempre.
