Joe Ray Hernandez

Pastor Joe Ray Hernandez went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the age of 60. He was born on September 9th, 1955, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He accepted the Lord in 1981 in El Paso, Texas at Victory Outreach and was later ordained by Pastor Freddy Garcia in San Antonio, Texas. During his training he met and married his wife Gloria on November 17, 1984. Together they opened a church and rehabilitation center in Houston, Texas in 1986. He served as Senior Pastor of Casa de mi Padre until God called him home. Pastor Joe served in the Houston area being a light and a helping hand to many people and was faithful unto death. This does not fully illustrate the thousands of lives he touched with his love, laughter, and above all, his faith.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories; wife Gloria and children Angela, Veronica (Jose), Joe (April), and Joshua; grandchildren Adrian, Joe, Natalie, Noah, Sophia, Danielle, Madison, and Caiden; sisters Eleanor (Larry) and Teresa; and further survived by nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Vickie Dominguez.

A Christian Funeral will be held at Brookside Funeral Home on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11am with Pastor Eric DiCesare presiding.
