Joe was a beloved husband to Linda and step-father to Theresa and Laura, brother to Helen, Roy, and Martha, Uncle to Ulysses, John, and Jesse, and caregiver to his beloved dogs JR, Zoey, and Peanut.
Joe loved to fish in Galveston Bay, barbequing for family and friends, travel, movies, and read. He just loved telling a good joke or sharing a funny story. He could always be counted on for a good laugh. He loved being the best uncle to his boys, his nephews.
Joe was a mighty “Buff” graduate from Milby High School. He was employed by Harris County Juvenile Detention Center for 25 years where he always referred to his co-workers as his family. He loved his work caring for juveniles at the detention center. He felt they just needed guidance and a second chance.
Joe loved spending time with family and friends. He looked for every opportunity to meet with them. He cherished his time with them. He was strong in his faith and a faithful servant to God. His shining light will be missed by all.
