Joe was born in Merkel, Texas to Wanda Weyrick Sublett and Ben Sublett. Joe graduated from Smiley High School and went to earn a license in cosmetology. Joe later trained to be a professional butler and worked for several of Houston's movers and shakers.
Being so very talented and creative Joe was hired on at Bergner and Johnson Designs to work on weddings and charity galas. Joe also worked with Tim Patrick on the March of Dimes galas, Acapulco Boys Home Benefit, the Heart Luncheon, and Children's Hospital galas.
Joe is survived by his life partner of 54 years Andy J. Nicolaisen, his brothers-in-law Eric, Fred, Leslie, and Glen; his sister Cherry Sublett of Palm Desert, California; nieces Kim and Kayla; nephew Ronnie, and many more loving friends.
Abiding by his wishes there will be no funeral. At a future time there will be a memorial service and celebration of Joe's life.
