Joel Glenn Paulk Sr.

Joel Glenn Paulk, Sr., 58 years, of Houston, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2014. He was a graduate of Waltrip High School, class of 1974. He was an employee of Shell Oil Company for 33 years. Joel was very involved at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, including being the praise service guitarist and head usher. He was active with boy scout troop 604, where his son was an Eagle Scout. He was active in the Houston Emmaus Community. Joel was the beloved husband of Brenda Hensley Paulk for 32 years. He is survived by: daughter Alisa Tackett, her husband John, and grandsons Ian and Finley, and son Joel Glenn Paulk, Jr.; siblings James Paulk, Jon Paulk, Janet Lambregts, Jeanne Anders, and Jeffrey Paulk, along with their spouses and families. Joel's celebration of life service will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church at 2003 West 43rd Street, Houston, Texas 77018 followed by a reception in the Fellowship Center. All donations can be sent to St. Stephen's UMC music fund.
