

John David Alvarez, 66, was born on Thursday, February 12, 1959, at 12:28 a.m. in Brownsville, Cameron County, Texas. On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 7:23 p.m., he was called to his heavenly home. He was the beloved son of Pablo Valerio Alvarez and Aurora Gutierrez (Alvarez) Perez.
John lived his life with a full and generous heart. A proud and devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he was known for his loyalty, compassion, and deep love for his family. He was a faithful husband and father who always put his loved ones first.
He worked with Siemens/Valmet for nine years and was admired as a hardworking, dedicated, and respected employee. His commitment to his work family and colleagues left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Valerio Alvarez and Aurora Gutierrez (Alvarez) Perez, and his brother Jorge Luis Alvarez.
He is survived by his loving stepfather, Carlos Perez, who raised him from the age of six; his devoted wife of 35 years, Verónica Díaz Alvarez; his daughters, Danalynlani Christina Flores (Erick Flores) and Samantha Nadine Alvarez (Raymond C. White); and his son, John David Ignacio Alvarez, Jr.
John leaves behind his cherished grandchildren—Nevaeh D. Flores, Keiana M. Flores, Makaio E. Flores, Raiden C. White, Phoenix I. White, and Infinity B. White—and his great-grandson, Ezekiel Morales. He is also survived by his siblings: Minerva Lopez, Pablo Valerio Alvarez, Jose Carlos Alvarez, Daniel Oscar Alvarez, Anthony Perez, Carlos Perez, Leticia Adams, and Jaime Perez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to his Siemens/Valmet work family and the many friends who blessed John’s life with love, support, and companionship.
His warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
