Sorry to hear of the lost of John W. Bicknell.  Pour out your feelings to the God who promises to comfort our hearts. (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17)

My husband from Mt.Sterling, KY> went to Bolles at same time.   They used to ride the train back and forth together...So sorry to learn of his passing...Mrs. JB Miller

My family lived across the street from the Bicknell's on East Cooper Dr. in Lexington, KY. Johnny and I were the same age and my most vivid memory of Johnny is when he convinced me to get on top of the garage at his house and help him eat a can of black olives which I didn't like but he insisted that I eat my share as he didn't want his grandmother to find out he'd taken them. After that I learned to love black olives. He also convinced me to smoke Indian cigars I think they were called that grew on a tree next to the garage. I got so dizzy I don't know how I kept from falling off the garage. What fun we had. 

I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

We remember John as a wonderful neighbor and good friend.  Mary, he will be in our thoughts and prayers.
