Our loving brother and son, John (John Boy) Wade Mattern, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 21, 2011. He is survived by his loving father, Reinhard (Hoss) Mattern. Also brothers, Glen & wife Terrie Mattern, Marvin Mattern, Terry Mattern and Gerry Mattern & Lori Archer and sister, Deborah Sammons. Proud Uncle of Tad & wife Leta Kresta, Kristin Kresta, Priscilla Kresta, Bryan Mattern, Michelle Mims and Proud Great Uncle of Aiden Kresta and Bryan Mattern, Jr. Aunts, Paralee Moreno of Houston, TX and Willa Mae Bohack of Stoneham, TX and numerous cousins. John was preceded in death by his mom, Rosalie Mattern. Funeral Services will be as follows: Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 5-6:30pm with a Rosary at 6:30 pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. Funeral Mass on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Plantersville, TX.
