John Michael Burton

John was born in Tallassee, Alabama and moved to Houston, TX in his teenage years. He attended Bellaire Sr. High School and after completion he enlisted into the United States Navy and left with an honorable discharge. He was a long term member of International Brotherhood of Electrical workers Union 716 in Houston, TX.

Most of us knew him by Mike. He was an incredible Father who loved his children very much. They were his entire world. Mike was the most kind, caring, selfless human being and always had a positive perspective on life. He had an infectious smile that shined through even on his toughest days.

He was proceeded in death by parents Willie Marvin Burton and Eddie Lee Whetstone Burton, Sisters Helen, Mary Jo, Barbara and Brother Willie.

John is survived by his children Kelley E. Bryant, James Brian Burton, Lori Kathryn Lassetter and Son-in-Law Larry Lee Lassetter, Jr; Sister-in-law Shirley York Jones. He is also survived by his Five Grandchildren Allison Leann Lassetter, Blain Michael Lassetter, Kaitlyn Paige Bryant, Laney Kathryn Lassetter, Kristen Ann Bryant, Five Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mike made all of us better and He will be dearly missed by all those who love and cherish him.
