John Di Giulio, 82, of Spring, Texas, entered into rest on January 19, 2020. He was born in Triggiano, Italy, on July 27, 1937 to parents Gaetano and Filomena Di Giulio. John enlisted and served in the United States Army. When he returned from serving, he married the love of his life, Anna Di Vincenzo Di Giulio on June 8, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois. John had a long career in the airline industry with Alitalia Airlines. In his retirement, he was a beloved crossing guard for Hassler Elementary in Klein ISD. His hobbies included soccer and watching thoroughbred horse racing, but above all, his true passion was spending time with his loving family.
He is survived by his wife, Anna, son, Nino Di Giulio, daughter, Laura Di Giulio Farrell and son-in-law, Mark Farrell, and grandchildren Elizabeth Di Giulio Hutchinson, Julia Farrell Taylor, Christopher Di Giulio, and Andrew Farrell. He is preceded in death by his parents and his four siblings, Teresa Papadia, Vince Di Giulio, Sylvia Contile, and Paul Di Giulio.
Visitation will be held on Thursday,January 23, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, 77038. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:45 am at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, located at 7810 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, Texas 77379, with a committal service to follow at 12:30 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, Texas, 77038, where military honors will be rendered.
