

John served as a Corporal in the Army, from 1948-1952 during the Korean War where he earned the Korean Service Medal with 6 Bronze Stars, a Korean Presidential Unit Citation and an Occupational Medal (Japan). John was a retired machinist from Dresser Industries. He was an active volunteer in the Honor Guard at the VA Cemetery. Among many other recognitions, John was presented with a Silver Cup from the Veterans Association for his thousands of hours of volunteer service. He was a long standing member of Knights of Columbus Council # 2917. He, along with his wife Cecilia, have been members of Assumption Catholic Church for over 60 years.
John was preceded in death by his parents Stanley Dziedzic and Julia Zajac Dziedzic and Sister Theresa Bench.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Cecilia, his children John R Dziedzic, James (Jimmy) Dziedzic and wife Amy and daughter Karen Franks and husband Ricky; 6 grandchildren: James C Dziedzic, Dennis Dziedzic, Janiece Dziedzic, Timothy Dziedzic, Kendall Franks and Katherine (Katie) Franks; 2 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jasper; 3 brothers, Edmond Dziedzic, Teddy Dziedzic, Bruno Dziedzic and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed. HUSBAND - FATHER - HERO.
