Mr. McIver was born December 26, 1929 in Houston Texas to Henry and Violet Carey McIver. He graduated from San Jacinto High School. He married Helen Weller McIver January 23, 1959. They were married 47 years. Helen passed away February 8, 2006. She was the love of his life!! Johnny and Helen enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling. Mr. McIver was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He worked for the US Postal Service for 29 years.
He leaves behind a sister Violet Vahlverg of Wenatchee, Washington. Johnny had two brothers, Jimmy McIver and Henry McIver both deceased. He has several nieces and nephews. Johnny will be greatly missed by all of his friends!!
As per his request, Mr. McIver will have a graveside only service on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 10 AM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston Texas 77079.
