I have many good childhood memories of Uncle John and Aunt Frances.  The St. Joseph Table was often at their house with tons of food cooked and displayed so beautifully!  They always had a very nice garden with yummy fresh vegetables and fig trees + the biggest cucuzza you've ever seen!!!  I enjoyed playing and running around their house with my cousins while the adults played dominoes and cards.  Uncle John you will be missed.  I'm sure Aunt Frances welcomes you with open arms.

Dear Palasota Family,
We are so sorry to hear about your dad. I remembered your family very fondly.  What wonderful neighbors youre parents were!  The St. Joseph's Altar at there house was the first I had ever viewed.  Your mom & dad was cooking all day long and they had the altar in the corner of the living room.  I remembered now beautiful the altar table looked.  The rosary was said in Italian; after a while I was saying the rosary in Italian.  Your dad was a good person and always so friendly.  I know your dad will be dearly  missed. I know that Papo is at peace and was very happy be reunited with not only Mama but his daughter Mary, my sweet mother, as well... He will be missed dearly but the memories of my loving papo will always be remembered... I still have the roll of quarters from our last visit. Popo had a love for a good cup of coffee, playing cards, all things baseball and anything Italian.  He loved working in his garden and was proud of his veggies, pecan trees and dewberry vines, always willing to share his harvest with others.  He was devoted to his Catholic faith and prayed for his family daily. Although it is sad he is no longer with us, I take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with Nama in Heaven.  I bet she greeted him with open arms, a plate of her spaghetti and meatballs, salad without cucumbers and chocolate cream pie.

Dear Kathleen and Pete, 

We are so sorry for the passing of Pete's Dad.    Looking at all 81 photos in the wonderful Photo Gallery, it looks like Pete's Dad lived his 97 years devoted to his Family............ and with a heart full of love.    His "Imitation of Christ" was (as you mentioned) to the Sacred Heart of Jesus;  and it's reflected IN his gaze, and in how his Family interacted with him throughout-the-decades.    To have a man who's a father/grandfather/brother/uncle/cousin/friend actually pray FOR all of you daily, (as you mentioned that Pete's Dad did)............ then, (as "a sweetheart"), BACKS UP those Daily Prayers with good, kind treatment............ well, words almost seem inadequate to describe the character of a person who still does that, in this day and age, you know.    May The Loving Soul of Mr. John P. Palasota Rest In Eternal Peace.
