He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kaoru K. Pederson. He is survived by his uncle George Spanos and his wife Rena; his aunt Sister Helen Spanos; his stepbrothers Ervin Ross and John Ross; his stepsister Mary Lou Inman; and his cousins Margie Sinclair and John, Joe and Frank Spanos.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Vigil at 7:00 PM in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1505 Kane Street, Houston, Texas 77007. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3502 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77009.
