John Charles Savana

John Charles Savana passed away on February 9, 2012. He was born on April 21, 1931 in Passaic, New Jersey. John is survived by his loving wife, Lourdes Savana; a son, Mark Savana; a brother, Charles Savana and his wife, Mary Anne; a granddaughter, Alyssa Savana; mother-in-law, Dory Santos; brother-in-law, Ric Santos, Tony Crescini and wife, Yoli; Len Santos, Fred Santos and Ernie Santos. John was drafted into the Army at age 18 and served in the Korean War. He worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years until the plant closed. In the early 80's, he worked at St. Mary's Hospital in the Dept. of Engineering. He also worked for a few more years and retired at the age of 56. While working at St. Mary's Hospital he met Lourdes "Lou" and in 1990 they were married. John was an extremely loving, caring and generous husband, father, grandfather and a great friend to everybody. He will be greatly missed by everyone, especially his wife, Lou. The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 1-9 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012, 10 am at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Dr., Houston, TX 77019.
