John Shaw was born in Lufkin Texas on July 17, 1943 to Tom Sr. and Georgia Shaw as the youngest of eight children. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the “Church of the Living God” at a young age and as he became older, he would then go on to serve his country and join the United States Army where he fought in the Vietnam War.
After serving 2 yrs, while fighting in the war, he would then go on to suffer devastating injuries to his spine and back, forcing him to come home and recover while having to learn to walk all over again at the Fort Lewis military base in Tacoma/Seattle,Wa. During his time there, he would go on to meet a young woman by the name of Patricia A. Frazier, in which they both would later form a union under God to become husband and wife. The Lord would soon bless the young couple with their first and only child, Brandon Shaw on the day of June 12th, 1975.
On the evening of Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at 9 p.m., the Lord called John home. He leaves behind to cherish his legacy, his Son Brandon, his sister Clarice Clemons & a host of nieces and nephews; Bobby Johnson (Deborah), Byron Shaw, Georgia (Karen-Ann) Shaw-Brown, Debbie Ware (James), Cheryl Gaw (Albert), Lawanda Shaw, Sandra Denise Parks (Cedric), Jeffery Shaw, Tommy Shaw (Jackie), Brian Busby, Brent Busby, Brendan (Daego) Busby & Tommy Tyrone Shaw.
