John graduated from Stanton High School in 1973 and enlisted in the United States Army in 1977 where he honorably served until 1985.
In 1980, he married Yong Kim. John and his wife raised three daughters, Jessica, Jannaeé and Felicia. John enjoyed fishing, watching college football and was known as an avid learner.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, sister, Annalecia, and three brothers, Isiah, Keith, and Randy.
