It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we inform you that our beloved Johnathan Blane Foster left us on March 7, 2026 after a long battle with colon cancer. He is preceded in death by his parents Ove and Gloria Foster.
Johnny’s survivors are his wife Melisa Foster, son Johnathan Foster, three grandsons Thaemeous, Enoch and Khalil - all from Hawaii. He has 5 sisters - JeTamme, Deena "Cricket", Vicky, Brittany and Olivia. His stepmother Selena Foster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Johnny started working with his daddy in 1968 at the very young age of 8 years old, this was the beginning of “Foster’s Tree Service.” In 1993 Johnny married the love of his life Melisa Foster. Together over the last 32 years they have worked side by side to make “Foster’s Tree Service” what it is today. Johnny was your hopeless romantic; he and Lisa shared a FANTASTIC marriage together.
Johnny also shared a unique and meaningful bond with each of his five sisters. He often joked that growing up with five sisters gave him a special understanding of women - and of life itself.
A family viewing took place on 3/14/26 from 4pm to 7pm at Brookside.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Brookside - Chapel of Chimes 13747 Eastex Freeway - Houston, Texas 77039, this will be taking place on Johnny's Birthday 3/19/26 from 2pm to 3:30pm.
A digital guestbook is on the website, please leave your favorite memory and any song that makes you think of Johnny.
The family respectfully asks that no flowers be brought or delivered to the house or the funeral home. Also no colognes, perfumes, deodorant and any other strong scented products; as this might cause breathing difficulties for Lisa.
