Johnnie Burnett

Johnnie Burnett was born to Albert and Dorothy Burnett, April 11, 1946 in Houston, TX. He attended local schools and graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School. Johnnie professed Christ in his youth. He joined Lyons Unity Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor O.C. Johnson where he served in the Choir. Upon relocating his residence, he joined Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gusta Booker. Johnnie was a very witty person, liked and loved by many. His presence was bright and felt by those whom he came in contact with. He was a hard worker and needless to say, very stylish. Johnnie will be greatly missed. Johnnie was preceded in death his parents, Albert and Dorothy Burnett, Brother, Albert Burnett and Sister, Annette Woods. He leaves to treasure his memory three children, Johnny Bernard Burnett, Terrell Burnett (Sonya) and Estella Burnett Drones (Boris). Two Sisters, Jean Blakes and Maudester Burnett. Two Brothers, Larry Burnett (Vergie) and Michael Burnett. 4 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Services for Johnnie will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, in the Garden of Hope Chapel of Paradise Funeral Home. The viewing will begin at 11:30am, followed by the Funeral Services at 1:30pm.
