A Celebration of Life Johnnie "Mae" Trottie Smith

'I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all of them also that love his appearing." - II Timothy 4:7 & 8

On July 3, 2014 * One we loved and knew stepped across the threshold that we call death, but it was only a step into another room and not stepping out of Fellowship of Life...but it was a stepping into one of the other rooms of Our Father's House.

Johnnie "Mae" Trottie Smith was born September 29, 1942 in Pineville, Louisiana to the union of the late Lillie Mae Chambers Trottie and Willie Trottie, Sr. She passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Park Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Houston, Texas. "Mae", as she was affectionately known, accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and attended the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mae's employment journey started with Central State Hospital, Pineville, Louisiana, Cenla Community Action Center (CCAC) in Alexandria, Louisiana and last, The Extra Mile in Pineville, Louisiana as a facilitator where she later retired.
