Johnny Avila, age 73, of Houston, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Johnny was born June 24, 1948 in Santa Rosa, Texas. He graduated from M.B. Smiley A.S. in 1968 and received his diploma. Johnny married Carmen Maldonado on November 17, 1971. He was a security guard and was in the U.S. Army and Reserve. Johnny enjoyed watching movies and playing lottery.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda Avila; grandchildren Edward Jr., Amaya, Xavier Ponce, Celeste Garcia and Miranda Avila; and siblings Abelina Badillo, Alicia Martinez and Emily Avila.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Maldonado, Daniel Maldonado, Michael Harding, Mayo Badillo, Geovannie Martinez and Diego Martinez.
