He left Cuba in 1962 and went to Caracas, Venezuela with his uncle, aunt and cousins. In 1963, he moved to Dallas where he graduated from high school at W.H. Adamson. Shortly thereafter, he entered the Army and served for many years. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to college at the University of Texas in Arlington where he earned his Aerospace Engineering degree. During that time, he worked as a bartender at several Dallas hotels. Upon graduation, he moved to California to work for Lockheed Martin. He stayed with Lockheed for over 30 years until his retirement in 2006. After retirement, he returned to Texas to be closer to his family. He bought a canal home in Jamaica Beach where he spent his time doing what he loved: fishing, painting, reading, playing games and building Legos and puzzles. On any given day you could find him at the county club playing bridge with his friends or on his computer checking on his fantasy teams. He also spent much of his time working on his many collections.
