Jose Amaya, age 77, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025. Jose was born in San Benito, Texas on June 10, 1947. Jose was married to Alicia V. Amaya on February 11, 2010. Jose worked as a bricklayer throughout his life and enjoyed fishing on his free time. Jose Amaya is preceded in death by his loving wife Alicia V. Amaya. He is survived by his children Robert Valero, Sylvia Ann Amaya and Jose Amaya Jr., grandchildren Anthony Baldemar Amaya and Xavier Cruz Amaya along with his sister Fina Diaz.
A visitation for Jose will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas 77023.
