Jose was a very active person in his community and beyond, he was a deacon at Immaculate Heart of Mary for many years, but since the death of his wife Josefina in 1992 was not a practicing deacon, but as a fisherman of men for the Lord continued God’s work throughout his daily life. He touched people from all walks of life. He loved the Lord and was humbled by the Lord by His abundant blessings; he continued to learn from God Almighty and taught everyone about the Love and Peace of our Lord.
Our dad believed and lived the following:
“When you remember me, it means that you have carried something of who I am with you that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that even after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost. When I’m feeling most ghost-like, it is you remembering me that helps remind me that I actually exist.” - Frederick Bucchner
We know for certainty that he is with our Lord and loved ones in Thy Heavenly Kingdom. Thank You Lord Almighty for sharing our earthly father with us for 83 years, may Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, may he rest in Thy tender merciful loving arms and Peace. Amen.
