Jose Andres Cabrera

Jose Andres Cabrera, born November 18, 1957, passed away June 27, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carmen Villarreal de Cabrera and Rafael Cabrera Rodriguez; brothers, Rafael Cabrera Villarreal Jr., Octavio Cabrera Villarreal, and Jose Luis Cabrera Villarreal. Andres will be greatly missed by his wife Aurelia Cabrera; children, Karina Mayorga and husband Joseph, Cynthia Campos and husband Robert, Andres Cabrera and wife Lizzeth Morales, Mayra Cabrera; grandchildren, Joseph “Buddy,” Nicholas, Breanna, Alyssa, Robert, Marissa, Andres “Andy,” Alexander; siblings, Maria Guadalupe Cabrera de Torres, Maria Reyes Cabrera de Uribe, Josefina Cabrera de Hernandez, Margarita Cabrera de Morales, Socorro Cabrera de Perez, Gloria Cabrera de Diaz, Sanjuana Cabrera de Calderon, Carmen Cabrera de Compean, Raul Cabrera Villarreal, Alberto Cabrera Villarreal, Sergio Cabrera Villarreal and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Jose was a man that worked hard in construction, but enjoyed life. He definitely made the most of it even through his sickness. His favorite pastimes were walks at the park with his beloved wife, Aurelia, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He always said that the smiles and laughs of his grandchildren kept him going. Blowing bubbles, building Legos, and watching them have fun made him happy. He also enjoyed the family gatherings with his children. Bar-b-q’s, birthday celebrations, special occasions or just any day occasions were all great times to hang out with his kids. It was a time to be together and enjoy the moment. He always told us to enjoy those little moments because they were the best part in life.

He is so proud of all his kids and their accomplishments. He is also proud of his son-in laws, Joseph and Robert, and daughter-in law, Lizzeth. He loves them all so much. Also, in such a short time, he came to love a new person that entered his life, Grady Thomas.

Family was the most important thing to him. He will be missed and he will forever be in our hearts. He is now an angel watching over all of us. We love you always and we will never forget you!

Memorial service will begin at 1:00 pm Friday, July 3, 2015 at Brookside Funeral Home with inurnment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
