He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Garza and Maria De La Luz Gutierrez Garza; his wife, Eva Zepeda Garza; son, Jesse David Garza; brothers, Guillermo G. Garza, Antonio Rodriguez Jr.; sisters, Anita Garza, Gregoria Rangel, Maria Del Socorro Hernandez, Maria Luisa Ramos, Josefina Betancourt; and great granddaughter, Abigail Grace.
He is survived by his brother, Tony Manuel Garza; sister, Raquel Garza Lozano; daughter, Sylvia Ann Garza; sons, Jose G. Garza Jr. and wife Suphaporn “A” Garza, James Garza Sr. and wife Sarai Garza, daughter-in-law Crystal Garza; grandchildren, Raymond Jr, Stephanie, Sandy, Troy, Jose G. III, Stefani Marie, Alyssa Lorraine, James Jr., Joshua, Vanessa Tee, and Emily Grace; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Funeral service will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:30 AM, followed by the burial committal at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
