With love and deep sorrow, we celebrate the life of “Meme” (Manuel), who passed on to eternal life on July 1, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born in Ozatlán, El Salvador, Meme was a man of strength, humility, and enduring love for his family. His life was a reflection hard work, quiet wisdom, and unwavering faith.
Meme found great joy working with livestock and agriculture during his youth in El Salvador. He carried that same love for the land, animals including his favorite oxen - Marfil and Carey, and simple, honest work with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delmy, and his immediate family: Memito (Jose), Miguel, Melissa Ledesma, and Ana Delgado. He was a proud father-in-law to Nicole and Luis, a devoted grandfather to Sebastian, Nicholas, Emerson, Cristian, Liana, Adrian, Zoe, Victor, Enrique, Jennifer, K'Love, Sarahi, Isamar, Cloe and Mary, and a joyful great-grandfather to Gianni.
Meme is also survived by his brothers Joaquin, Chago, Oscar, and Noé, sister Inez, and is fondly remembered by extended family and numerous friends in Houston and Ozatlán, whose lives were touched by his warmth, generosity, quiet strength and friendship.
He was preceded in death by twin son and daughter Jose Guillermo and Maria Angelica, parents Manuel de Jesus and Maria Inez, and niece Karla Ivette Posada, and brother Lico.
His legacy lives on through the love he gave, the values he instilled, and the memories he created with all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Con amor y profundo pesar, celebramos la vida de Meme, quien falleció el 1 de Julio de 2025 a la edad de 76 años.
Nacido en Ozatlán, El Salvador, Meme fue un hombre de fortaleza, humildad y un amor incuestionable por su familia. Su vida fue un reflejo de trabajo duro, sabiduría serena y una fe inquebrantable.
Meme encontró gran alegría trabajando con la ganadería y la agricultura durante su juventud en El Salvador. Ese mismo amor por la tierra, los animales, incluyendo sus bueyes favoritos - Marfil y Carey, y el trabajo sencillo y honesto lo acompañaron durante toda su vida.
Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Delmy, y su familia inmediata: Memito (José), Miguel, Melissa Ledesma y Ana Delgado. Fue un orgulloso suegro de Nicole y Luis, un devoto abuelo de Sebastian, Nicholas, Emerson, Cristian, Liana, Adrian, Zoe, Victor, Enrique, Jennifer, K'Love, Sarahi y Isamar, y un alegre bisabuelo de Gianni.
A Meme también le sobreviven sus hermanos Joaquín, Chago, Óscar y Noé, y su hermana Inez. Es recordado con cariño por su extensa familia y numerosos amigos en Houston y Ozatlán, de lo cual vidas se vieron conmovidas por su calidez, generosidad, fortaleza serena y amistad.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus hijos gemelos, José Guillermo y María Angélica; sus padres, Manuel de Jesús y María Inez; sobrina, Karla Ivette Posada; y hermano, Lico.
Su legado perdura a través del amor que brindó, los valores que inculcó y los recuerdos que creó con todos quienes lo conocieron.
Lo extrañaremos profundamente y lo recordaremos por siempre.
A visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, located at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, on July 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on July 12, 2025, starting at 10:00 am. Following the service, a committal service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077, beginning at 11:00 am.
Jose Manuel Gomez's final resting place will be at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston.
