Jose Eloy Guerra II, age 60, passed away on September 10, 2026, in Cypress, Texas, with his loving wife, Katie, by his side, surrounded by close family members. Eloy fought a courageous and fierce battle with advanced cancer.
For more than 33 years, Eloy was a devoted and loving husband. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, deep friendship, and unwavering partnership.
Eloy was a natural fighter who faced every hurdle with humor and unmatched resilience, inspiring everyone around him. He developed a kinship with everyone he met.
He loved playing practical jokes on friends and family, and even in his final hours, he continued to bring laughter to those he loved.
Eloy’s life was defined by the warmth, peace, and simple comforts he shared with his family- from competitive days of bowling, video games, shooting his guns at the range and rowdy Saturday game nights with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Katie; his loving mother Eudelia Guerra; his devoted sisters Claudia Guerra and husband David, Yvonne J Guerra; sisters-in-law; Michele Lawson and Stacy Peterson husband Ryan. His nieces and nephews include Ashlee, Mikayla, Callista, Christian, Marlin, Paloma and Haley. His mother and father in-law Evelyn and Glenn Bellot along with a deeply supportive extended network of family and friends who will miss his laughter every single day. He is preceded in death by his father Jose Eloy Guerra.
Eloy wished to be remembered in life’s joyful moments and asked that those attending his services honor him by wearing bright, cheerful colors. His favorite colors were purple, pink, and blue.
