

Born Jose Verbe Jr, on November 12, 1933, in São Paulo, Brasil, it was not thought he would survive, so his birth was legally registered a week later on November 19, 1933.
In 1956, at age 23, Jose was granted a visa to immigrate to the US. He became a US citizen on May 1, 1964, at which time his name was legally changed to Jose Weber Jr.
Living in Peoria, IL Jose became a long standing member of the Peoria German American Society where he met many of his life-long friends.
In May 1985 Jose and his family moved to Sugar Land, TX. He retired in 1998 and moved to Crockett, TX. He then lived a short time in Atlanta, GA before moving back to Sugar Land, where he lived out the rest of his life surrounded by family.
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria Weber, as well as his second wife, Phyllis Wunsche.
He is survived by his sister Ana McCarthy and her husband Rick; children Joyce King and her husband John, Jose Weber III and his wife Jill, Alice Weber, Mary Gianakos and her husband Chris, and Paul Weber and his wife Nurul; as well as grandchildren Amy Davies, Adam Davies, David Gianakos, and Cayde Welsh.
Jose’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with family and the many joyful experiences they cultivated throughout his life. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
