Joey was a kind-hearted man that we looked up to in spiritual knowledge. He was the director of our family life group at church, when we started our class the “Soul Survivors. When he became unable to attend church regularly, my husband, John became the director. We have known Joey and Jeannine for years. Joey and Jeannine are an exemplary example of Godly lives. Joey loved God’s word and was very knowledgable of the Bible. Joey was an awesome artist! We will miss Joey, our brother in Christ. Prayer for Jeannine to help her through this difficult time. We love you both.

I met Joey as a result of my friendship with Jeanine in the music ministry at Spring Baptist Church. I knew that he had many medical challenges to overcome, but I never saw him without a smile on his face whenever he was able to come to church. I will be praying for the family during their loss, that all will feel God’s comfort and peace as they celebrate a life well lived.

To the love of my life, Joey was in the navy on an oiler, mom sent a letter telling about the new neighbor Jeannine, he told his buddy when I get home I'm going to marry her, in December of 1972 we meet, a year later we marred December 8th 1973 at Spring Baptist Church. Where we join a couples class and we were outreach director's of 80 couples, we stayed in that class for about 10 years. Joey began teaching forth grades for about 4 years, Worked in the library on Sundays, and he played baseball. As well as have are family Therese, Tara, and Joseph. Then he couched boy's basketball, also went to children's camp in the summers. Then he was a director of two adult class for about 10 years. He was also a Promise Keeper. On Sundays he did skits at the church. Then he got his two grandsons Patrick and Jordan. He drove a school bus for spring used for 7 years, also did skits for children on buses. He also worked for southwestern bell for 30 years. He also loved to read history and loved to draw art. He went to be with the Lord after almost 71 years of life. One day we will be together again.
