March 16, 1996 – April 20, 2017
We remember Joseph as an extraordinary young man. He lit up our hearts with his megawatt smile, hugging everyone he met. He was happiest when helping others. He had a servant’s heart, a generous spirit, and loved Bible stories, American history, rice, and chocolate. We are thankful for our time with this special earth angel. His death leaves a huge hole in our hearts and lives. He will be forever missed, even as we know he is with the Lord.
Joseph was born in Kathmandu, Nepal and brought to Mendies Haven Children’s Home at age 3, where he first met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was there that his forever family met and fell in love with him, adopted him, and brought him home at age 6. He is survived by his family, Barbara Strobel and George Bement, Aaron, Aneela, and Danny Bement, and Mickey Strobel as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him fiercely. He is also survived by his many brothers and sisters in Nepal, all of whom loved him very much.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
