Joseph Donald Bertrand

Donald Bertrand was born in Quebec Canada on July 4th 1944. He had 4 sisters Rejanne, Elaine, Mickey, and Nicole as well as three brothers Roger, Jack, and Michael. He relocated to the United States where he moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts in the winter of 1962. His first-born son, Donald Paul, was born on June 22nd 1968 and one year later his second son, Steven James, was born on July 31st 1969 and 13 months later October 21st 1970 he was blessed with a baby girl Michelle Ann. Donald met his survived wife Lynda in 1976 and 2 years later their son Paul Donald was born on March 25th 1978. In the spring of 1981 Donald and his brother Jack moved to Houston, TX where they met their brother Roger who had previously relocated to Texas. A few months later Lynda and Paul moved to Houston to be with him. Donald’s youngest daughter Melissa Anne was born about one year later on August 24th 1982. Don was a hard worker who owned his own construction business and an icehouse called Jimbos’ Lounge where lots of his customers became friends and some even extended family. Don also loved to have good times with friends and family whether at the lake boating or jetskiing or family gatherings. Don is survived by eight grandchildren whom he loved dearly their names are Steven, Cameron, Alec, Katie, Bailey, Dillon, Alyssa, and Alexus. Don also had in laws Robert, Lisa, and Karla Lamy his brother and sisters in law as well as Joey and Brandi his son and daughter in law who he treated more like his own children than his in laws as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved so much. He will be dearly missed by all of those who loved him whether they are family or friends.
