Grandpa Joe was the sweetest and kindest soul I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I remember him with a smiling face and a laugh that was more of a chuckle. God is the lucky one now to have his presence. Rest in peace grandpa joe. You are truly missed. And forever loved.

Though we don't know you, we do know the great man that you raised. He has touched our lives and our hearts. For that we thank you and send our prayers and condolences to your family.  From Chad's softball teams, TBD and NPS

To Joe Lee's Family,
Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers.    He is my cousin, as my dad, Harvey Blanton, and Joe Lee's dad, Lee Blanton, were brothers. We didn't visit often over the years, but he and our family have always been close. And when we did occasionally talk on the phone, or visit at a family gathering, I enjoyed the time with him so much. He was a respectable man, and he showed great respect to others. He was always caring, polite, and kind. And, with his great sense of humor he made us laugh. He will surely be missed by all his family and friends. May God bless you, and give you peace and strength.

My name is Lynell Blanton, Hudson. Our Dads were brothers. I am really going to miss you. When Jena finds out she will be heart broken. (Now 11/yrs. old. They met while we were at I think it was Whata Burger waiting for the 2nd portion of Aunt Mary Lou's Funeral. He came in & came to sit with us & she told him she was glad that way she could keep him from falling off of the stool. (She was 6/yrs. old then) She wrote to him & mailed him a school picture. He said it always stays on his table so he can read it when he wants to. All who knew him, loved him.

Uncle Joe is in our thoughts and prayers.

I first met Joe Blanton in August of 1976 when we moved next door to his family.As we got to know him,we saw a strong,loving,family man who worked very hard for them.We have remained friends through all these years and helped one another through some very difficult times.My family will miss him.He was a good friend and there are not not enough words to express our heartfelt sympathy to the ones left behind.God Bless!Love you!
