Joseph Eugene Cummings

He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Pearland, TX.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lelia Cummings of New Orleans.

Joseph was a graduate of G.W. Carver High School, a proud Army Veteran, a dock fisherman, a musician and songwriter. Joseph is survived by his wife, Flavia Cummings, two sons, Johnathan and Christopher Cummings, four grandchildren, Dayala, Johnathan, Jennaela, and Christopher, along with a host of extended family.

He also leaves ten siblings, Jean Joseph (Wallace) of Humble, TX, Joan Collins (Herbert) of Amite, LA, Joyce Davis of Amite, LA, Jane Mitchell of Humble, TX, Judy Phipps (Jetterson) of New Orleans, LA, Herman Cummings (Rose) of Houston, TX, Jerome Cummings of Houston, TX, Robert Cummings (Patricia) of Houston, TX, Stella Lee (Julius) of New Orleans, LA, and Eugene Cummings (Tyra) of Slidell, LA.

Today, we are having a celebration of life honoring Joseph. Because of Covid and the distance of family, we are celebrating via Zoom. A more formal celebration will be given at a future date. Interment will be private.
