

Joe was born on January 18, 1938 in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he developed his love for the ocean and passion for scuba diving. He was an avid fisherman, and if he wasn’t on the water, he was under it, having dived many locations from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean, and every place in between. He enjoyed photography and took many underwater pictures. He served 4 years in the United States Army as a Paratrooper in the highly decorated 82nd Airborne Division.
Joe was a longtime member of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing. As a professional tester at QC Laboratories in Florida, he worked on special projects at NASA. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1971 and worked for Southwestern Laboratories. In 2013, he retired from Metco-Projects Inc.
Joe is survived by his wife Susie, a daughter Tammy-Jo Henrotin, a son David (Karie) and stepson Frederick Campbell, grandsons Andrew Henrotin and Parker Henrotin, stepdaughters Tiffany (Bill) Goodrum Massey, and Tammera Roberts, stepgrandchildren Justin Roberts and Jordan Roberts. Joe is also survived by his sisters, Barbara (Charles) Kahler, Loret (Neal) Segrest and Mary (Bob) Luther and other extended family.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother and father Joseph and Ann Cusworth.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at 3:00 pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, celebrating Joe’s life.
