

Joseph Lawrence (Joe) LeMoine passed away February 27, 2013 in Houston, Texas at the age of 82 years. He was born in Lafayette, La and lived his early life there until joining the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country he moved to Houston, TX and attended the University of Houston. In 1956 he joined Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc. in the Oiltools Division. There he became Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Later in life he joined his longtime friend Paul Koomey to form Koomey Inc. Joe spent 40 years of his life in the oil and gas industry traveling to Europe, Africa, China and the USSR. He was a member of Nomads, IADC and was honored as an "Offshore Pioneer" in the development of subsea drilling equipment.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall D. and Alco DeBlanc LeMoine, brother Marshall LeMoine Jr. and brother in law J. Harry Hebert. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Glenella M. LeMoine, sons; Tommy Wall and wife Gwen, Bobby Wall and wife Karen, grandchildren; Carlie Orlando and husband Eddie, Megan Deen and husband Matt, J.J. Wall and by his sister Marie L. Hebert, brother Lynn G. LeMoine, sister in law Gertrude Moyer, four great grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include; Paul Koomey, Louis slaughter, Dale Smith, C. Jim Stewart III, Eddie Orlando, and Matt Dean.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday, March 3, 2013 and funeral services Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 am at Forest Park Westheimer, Houston, TX. In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice .
