Joseph Patrick Meeks

Jody Meeks was welcomed into the world on November 30, 1957 in Houston, Texas by his loving parents Sophie and Damon Meeks. He lived a long, full life before passing away in the comfort of his home on July 29, 2017. In his last moments with us, Jody was blessed with the company of his beloved wife, Christy, his son, Cody, his daughter, Courtney, and his loyal dog, Shy Girl. Although Jody was called to be with our Lord at a very young age, his years on Earth did not go in vain, as he spent the entirety of his life surrounded by those he held dearest. He shared thirty-five years of his life with his loving wife who remained strong and by his side through it all. He adored his children and grandchildren, and the pride he felt for them showed in his eyes the countless times he spoke of them. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends, messing around in his garden with the grandkids, and riding his motorcycle alone or with his friends. Though he will be missed by so many, his memory and all the moments he shared with us will forever live in our hearts. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife and soulmate of thirty-five years, Christy Meeks, and a long list of adored family members, including: his loving children, Cody, Courtney, Tory, Kelley, Tina, Wendy, Lauren and Shawna, his beloved children-in-law, Karen, Tony, and Ashlee his loving grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Sophia, Crissa, Joshua, Alexis, Frankie, Bella, Jasmine, Ashlye, Lacy, Garrett, Brooklyn, his great granddaughter, Regan Porter, his siblings Damon, John, Tommy, Giner, and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Meeks. He is preceded in death by his mother Sophie Meeks, father Damon Meeks, and granddaughter Marissa Garcia.
