

A devoted Catholic, he attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Michael A. Quartaro, and is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Quartaro Dimicelli and stepfather Thomas Dimicelli; his loving wife of 33 years, Phyllis Muse Quartaro; daughters, Dayna Quartaro Noski and husband Mark, Lindsey Quartaro; and son, Matthew Quartaro; his sisters, Theresa Quartaro Smith, Mary Quartaro Rossi and husband Giuseppe; and numerous nieces and nephews; and father-in-law, Mike Muse.
Joseph was born in and resided in Houston, Texas, and was married in 1978. He was an accomplished chef and loved to prepare Italian dinners for his family and friends, he was never lost in the kitchen. His love for the outdoors and fishing created many unforgettable memories. Joseph was always happy and had a pleasant personality, but he was especially happy when he was catching softball with his daughter Lindsey. He truly loved to watch her play softball. Joseph was a wonderful man a loving husband, father, brother and son.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from three o’clock this afternoon until seven o’clock this evening, Friday, the 10th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where a recitation of the Holy Rosary is to commence at seven o’clock, led by Deacon John Murrell of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 11th of August, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street in Houston, where the Rev. John N. Morfin is to serve as celebrant.
Honored to serve as casket bearers during the services are Anthony Quartaro, Jr., Michael Smith, Giuseppe Rossi, Carl Salvato, Mark Noski, Phillip Muse, Frank Salvato and Frank Virgadamo. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Joseph’s Godfather, A.J. Foster.
The Rite of Committal is to follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
Immediately following the interment, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the West Hall of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
