

Joey attended Nursing School in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She loved being a RN. After moving to Texas, Joey loved working in the Emergency Room. She then made a shift and became the Director of Nurses for a Nursing Home. After this, Joey and her husband Ken opened an Assisted Living in Tomball. She owned and ran this until her Retirement.
Joey was married to the Love of Her Life, Kenneth (Ken) Duncan for 48 years. They shared a love of travel and would often be gone for weeks at a time.
Joey & Ken were very active with the Tomball Shriners and played in a Bowling League. After retirement, Joey found a new passion - quilting. She loved going to her Bernina Quilters Meetings and learning about new things to make. Joey also loved to crochet. She spent many hours crocheting Baby Afghans and Momma Afghans for all her family members when they were Expecting.
Joey is survived by; daughter Kathy Hagan (Robbie) of Yoakum, and son Mike DeSmet (Lisa) of Englewood, Co; son Michael Duncan (Cheryl) of Katy; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Ginger DiNatale, Joanne Hare, Mary Ann Norman, Susie Pranger, and Janie O’Neill; brother Manny Lentine.
Preceded in death by parents and husband Ken Duncan.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Shriners Children’s Texas Hospital, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Charity of your choice.
