

Mrs. Jospehine Lebechkwu Emenike was born to Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred and Constance Umebuani from Awlaw town in Oji River LGA, Enugu State on March 31st 1940 in Nsuka, town in Enugu State, she was the first of four children. Attending her primary education at St. Andrew primary school, at mile one Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State Nigeria.
At the age of 13, she met her soul mate, her husband, Mr. Joseph Sunday Emenike at Gambia Street, mile II Diobu, where they lived. They started their family and had a total of nine children five surviving: Joel, Henry, Godswill, Priscilla and Micah. Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Josephine Emenike were married for over 50 years.
Mrs. J.L. Emenike loved God. Mr. and Mrs. Emenike served in various capacities in different church ministries and activities. She was part of the original/early members of Deeper Life Church in Port Harcourt, opening her home for house fellowship and also ministering to the young Pastors; she was a marriage counselor and head Chef at the yearly conference in Redemption Ministries Church for over a decade, dedicating herself to the work of God through outreach ministries.
She raised several grandchildren and instilled love and tolerance in them as she did for her children while raising them. Anywhere she lived after a while she became everyone’s mother, becoming the counselor to all the newly married and the young ones both males and females. She is truly a blessing to all her children and everyone she met. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
