

Josephine Sereni was born on March 17, 1936 in Italy. She passed peacefully on August 4, 2014 in Houston, Texas. She moved to Rome in her early adult years, and worked diligently to help her family move to the U.S. in 1970. Josephine forwent her education to support her family. The beginning years of 1980’s she worked for Alief Independent School district; Walmart, for 8 years and Texas Woman’s University for over 20 years. Josephine was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church for over 25 years. She cherished her family dearly and the love of her life was the joy of her grandchildren. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband Mario P. Sereni Sr. in 4/19/1990; daughter, Patricia T. Sereni, parents, Antonio Leone and Maria Piccioli and sister, Benigna Leone Mammoliti. She is survived by her Son Mario P. Sereni; daughter, Alexandra Sereni Brown; grandchildren, Jonathan A. Sereni, Patricia G. Sereni, Stefano P. Sereni, Amelia Sereni and expected great grandson Ezio Aiden Sereni; brothers, Raffaele Leone, Sandro Leone, Rosario Leone and Gennaro Pignataro. Serving as pallbearers: Mario Sereni, David Leone, Gary Brown, Jonathan Sereni, Stefano Sereni, Sandro Leone, Camillo DeSantis, Raffaele Leone and James McCutchan.
