Joyce Ann Ward

Joyce Ann “Memaw” Ward, 72, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas and surrounded by loved ones. Memaw was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Ward Sr. and daughter Gayla Fullner. She is survived by her children Vicki, Alice, Sharon, William, Tommy Jr., and Kevin. She is also survived by her brother Ray and her sister Mary as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memaw was born on July 18, 1943, in Houston, Texas. Her parents were Rosalie Kridner Casanover and Wilton Casanover. Memaw had three other brothers; Cecil, Charles and Thomas whom preceded her in death. She has numerous nieces and nephews. Memaw married Tommy Ward Sr. in 1963 and remained married until his death in 2004.

Memaw worked in the service station industry for many years and served companies as a store manager such as Shell, Texaco and Chevron. Memaw loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. They were her whole life. Her smile would get so big when they showed up at her house at random times just to surprise her. Memaw had hobbies such as collecting trolls, collecting chevron cars, playing computer games and going to the casino. Memaw is so loved and will be missed by so many.

Funeral services will be performed at Brookside Funeral Home on May 15, 2016 at 3:30 P.M.
