Juan Nolasea Escalante

Juan Nolasea Escalante, 87, of San Luis, Potosi, left us peacefully on September 21, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his family. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law and friend.

Born on December 28, 1937, in San Luis, Potosi, he moved to Houston with his wife and children in the early 1970s; where he worked every day to provide for his family until his retirement.

Juan was a retired Machine Operator in the Industrial Rubber Industry and was well known for his hard work, excellent work ethics and attendance. Juan enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows, Novelas and cartoons. He was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to his favorite music artists while singing along to the songs. He always maintained a well-groomed appearance and had a fondness for motorcycles, cars, watches and clocks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo Escalante and Manuela Nolasea, his sisters Guadalupe and Tomasa and his great-grandchild, Arthur Gutierrez.

A visitation for Juan will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 4:00pm to 10:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St., Houston TX 77087. A Prayer of The Rosary will be held from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. A Funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 9:00am to 10:00am. A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
