Juan Yerena Ocañas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He was born on May 16, 1922 in General Terán, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to parents Santos and Cruz Yerena. Juan worked at Star Furniture in Houston, Texas for 20 years. Juan was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Virginia Yerena and son Jaime Yerena. He is survived by his second wife Pascuala Yerena and his 9 children from his first wife: Juan Jose Yerena, Yolanda Mendez, Genaro Yerena, Juana Maria Guajardo, Virginia Guajardo, Pedro Yerena, Sergio Javier Yerena, Leticia Vela, Angelica Marez and all their spouses, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. The visitation will be on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery.
