Juanell Clark Steele-Tullos

Our beloved and magnificent Juanell Steele-Tullos passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 in Houston, TX. Born and raised in Simpsonville, TX, Juanell was a unique spirit of integrity and brilliance that truly loved the Lord and created a legendary presence in the Houston Business community. With her unwavering positivity and dynamic sales skills, she quickly excelled her career as an Area Sales Manager at Stanley Home Products. In 1973, she created Juanell Steele & Associates Personnel Service, a still-thriving business for almost 40 years. With her authentic people skills, this family matriarch and pillar of strength was proud of her success, but her favorite role was loving mother, grandmother, wife and giving to others. She loved life (quite apropos) because she was truly always the life of the party. Juanell loved to fish and (and eat'em) as well as hunt with her husband, Jerry...and loved more than anything for her children and grandchildren to be around her. Passed down from her Daddy, she would always say, “If you ever get down, just think about hamburgers and ice cream.” This world will definitely shine a little less brightly...we have lost a truly glamourous diamond in the rough.

Juanell was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Nell Cahill; husband, Jerry Tullos; parents, Bryan and Jessie Clark; brother Winston and George Bryan (GB) Clark; sister, Geraldine Lewandowski; nephew, Martin Clark.

Juanell is survived by her daughter, Debbie Steele Edlen; grandchildren, Elizabeth Amber Cahill, John Bryan Cahill, Joshua David Edlen, Jessica Marie Edlen; stepdaughter, Dottie Tullos and grandson, Chris; numerous cousins and grand-nieces and nephews whom they lovingly called, “Aunt Nonnie.”
