Mother in law.  Stories associated with the name are funny and some are not. But this one earned the title of a Tough Lady with great principles. 

I lost my mother when I was 13.  With that tragic accident, it deprived me the loving attention of a mother.   But with her, she filled me wisdom and continued the role of a mother I lost.  If I were not able to serve my real late mother, I thanked God for giving me and served another one.  

At the moment of dying, it reminds me of Matthew 26:40 when Jesus found His disciples asleep while in the agony of what will happen to Him, He said “Could you not watch with me for an hour?”  It strikes me when my Mother was dying during that accident, she did not have her loved ones around in her agony and pain. 

And until now that moment of dying repeated with my Mother-in-law. The night of visit at the nursing home, we left her not knowing that it's her last few hours, and just to receive a call around 1:00 am pronouncing death.  
How do we know when our dying moments come WITHOUT our loved ones around?  My regrets…

Please pray with me: “Lord, God if by chance we leave this world and no one around us, please let us cling on You. You're the only One we've got. And If we also lose You, where will we go? You can take away everything but do not take away our faith in You.  Hold on to us O Lord until our last breath in Jesus Name, Amen.”

There is much to be thankful for     as we remember tita Juaning. 
Soooo generous and thoughtful auntie. 
Rest in peace tita Juaning! You will always remain within our hearts and know that we will never forget you.

Dearest Juaning, my long beloved friend and sister in Christ.  I just came back from Philippines and glad Edith emailed me.  Me and my family - The Protomartirs sent our whole condolences and sympathies to your family and relatives.  My recent visit w/you before I go to Phils. we're both happy to see each other again.
So sad I lost my best friend but I know you will be happy there w/ our Lord Jesus Christ, the Blessed Mother and all holy Angels and Saints. Tita Juaning,

I'm sure you knew how much I love you.  I will miss you so bad.  Auntie please say hi to my mom and dad.  Thank You for helping me when I first came in the US.

My condolences and prayers to the Canlas family. May her loving memories bring your family comfort and peace. I can remember her sweet voice during our young days in Sta Ana. May her soul rest and find peace with our dear Lord.

Beloved cousins,

I will remember your mom's love and positive Christian attitude.  One time,
I felt discouraged, and Auntie Juaning
uplifted my spirit with her prayers and
kind words, "Janet, look outside your window.  See the flowers, trees, birds,
and all of nature.  God made these all
for you.  See how much He loves you?"
I'm so thankful, Jesus blessed me with
a beautiful auntie, like your mom.

Although it has been several years since I last saw Aunty Juaning, I remember her fondly.   No one can prepare us for a loss.  But take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of our Lord.  My deepest condolences to you all.

Our deepest sympathies...May the Lord shower you(and your family)with love and strength in this challenging times. Tita Juaning has returned to our Creator and rejoined my Daddy(Primo), Inang, Tatang and all the loved ones who have crossed over. Rest in peace, Tita Juaning.
