

In the early morning of April 24, 2015, Juanita Katherine Bryant Dickey entered the gates of Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior. She lived 92 years on this earth. She was born on September 18, 1922, in Meridian, MS to her parents, Albert and Grace Bryant. She grew up in Mississippi and then made a home and a family in Houston, TX with her husband, Glenn Newell Dickey. This union was blessed with six children and thus produced numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much.
She worked at Jacinto City Pharmacy for 27 years and was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Houston, TX. She lived her life for the Lord and loved Him and her family selflessly. She enjoyed sewing, reading and watching any type of sports, especially basketball. Juanita will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She possessed a servant’s heart, a quick wit and a tremendous amount of love for all people.
She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Newell Dickey Sr., her parents, Albert and Grace; brothers, Edward and William Bryant and sister, Rebecca Bryant Twiner; as well as three children, Michael, Theresa and Patti Dickey. Her memory and legacy will be carried on by her children Suzanne Buyajian; Carol Finley and husband Floyd Finley and Glenn Dickey, Jr., and wife Karen Dickey; as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
