

Mrs. Judith Ann Neil Dupre, 79, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 Houston, Texas. Born on May 7, 1945 in Houma, Louisiana, Judith (Judy as many called her) was the first born to her loving parents Herbert Joseph (T’ Beb) and Doris Mae (LeBouef) Neil. She was the oldest of six siblings including: Herdis Neil (Sherry) of Montegut, LA, Janice Stoufflet (Oswald) of Cave Springs, AR, Rena Harris (Ross) of Rock Hill, SC, Linda Defelice (Brian) of Bourg, LA and Robert Neil (Vicky) of Bourg, LA.
She is survived by her two children who she cherished deeply, Arienne (Aaron) Harvey of Burleson, TX, and Travis Dupre of Houston, TX. She also leaves her treasured grandchildren Alaina and Aaron Jacob Harvey and Kyndall, Kennedy and Bryce Dupre. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Joseph and Doris Mae (LeBouef) Neil.
Judy was a woman of many talents and started working at the age of 13. She met her high school sweetheart, Michael Anthony Dupre, on the school bus. He spent several years courting her in his white leather jacket bringing her Zero bars and Hershey bars. She and Michael were married in January 1962 when Judy was 16 years old. After graduating from Terrebonne High school in Houma, LA she followed her husband to Colorado when he was drafted into the military. While in Colorado, she started her professional career in banking. She and Michael then traveled back to Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma where she ultimately earned her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Her entrepreneurial spirit helped her continue a successful career in insurance, real estate, marketing, business development, healthcare and medical billing taking her from Texas to Charlotte, NC and Florence, SC and ultimately back home to Houston, TX to be close to her grandchildren.
Not only was Judy dedicated to her family, she passionately contributed to her community including serving at church all her life, serving on the local PTA and serving as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader. She also enjoyed serving on the local First Colony Municipal Utility District board for 11 years, and supporting women’s cancer research as well as serving the Department of Education as a peer reviewer. Early in her life she was involved in beauty pageants and was honored as first runner up in the Miss Terrebonne pageant in her local parish. She enjoyed physical fitness and worked as the activities director at a local gym for many years. She was also an extra on the Dallas TV series as well as enjoyed modeling for local businesses. She was an intelligent, ambitious and loving woman with a grace and beauty that showed inside and out.
Judy had many hobbies including decorating, gardening, sewing, cooking and anything related to the world of academics. She firmly believed in teaching her children everything she could including sharing her catholic faith which ultimately led to sending her children to private catholic school. Judy loved her family fiercely. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with family, including family reunions, visiting her brothers and sisters and spending time with her children and 5 grandchildren. She will be missed by the many whose lives she touched.
Judith Ann Neil Dupre was joyously reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Thank you to everyone for the care and compassion shown to her in her final days.
Interment will be held graveside at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery at 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77079 on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10:00 am. Following the graveside service, family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at Travis Dupre’s home.
