Judy Lynn Hooper

Judy Wakefield Hooper, 66, passed Sunday morning October 5, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Judy was born in October 1947 in Houston, Texas to Lawrence and Margaret Wakefield. After leaving her childhood home and getting married she remained a lifelong resident of Houston, Texas.

Judy was eventually blessed with the birth of her only child, Stephanie, who was the light of her life. She loved spending time with her family and friends whether it was playing games or traveling with them. The love for her daughter and grandchildren was evident as she was continually doting on them. Everyone will greatly miss Judy’s quick wit, her sparkling personality, and her love of family and life. She was always making other’s lives easier and she knew how to always bring a smile to everyone’s face. Judy will be loved forever not only by her family, but also her numerous friends.

Judy is survived by her daughter Stephanie and husband Tommy; longtime companion, Dutch Hellman; grandson Jonathan and wife Megan, granddaughter Morgan, great-grandson Mason; brother Jerry Smith and wife Lynn; as well as; a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Margaret Wakefield; and her sister, Linda Jones.

Memorial services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home on Wednesday October 8, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the evening at 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, Texas 77095.
